History

Dromore Amateurs were originally formed in 1958 and were based at Mountview Park in Dromore.  Probably the most successful period in the clubs history was between 1972 and 1974 when they won successive championships.  These being division's 2B and 2A of the Amateur League.

In 1974 they also won the Cochrane Crory Cup.  In 1986 the club was awarded Intermediate status due to the large amount to ground improvements that were made.  This meant that they could compete in the Border Cup, Intermediate Cup and Irish Cup.  This was celebrated by playing Irish League Champions Linfield at Moundview Park in front of a large crowd

Promotion was gained to Division 1B of the Amateur League which the clubs first team still compete in today. In 1998 the club moved from its home at Mountview Park to its present home Ferris Park which includes a floodlit Astroturf training surface and a superb playing pitch as well as top class changing facilities.
